Mam Tor - Peak District Walk
Sunday 1st January 2006
The New Year started with a return to a favourite walk, the ridge walk from Mam Tor to Lose Hill with the added bonus of first walking through stunning Cave Dale. After the recent snow and rain the high cloud and calm weather made for muddy but otherwise ideal walking conditions with great views. As it was New Years Day the steps up to and summit of Mam Tor are best compared with a typical city centre on Saturday but once past Hollins Cross the crowds disappeared.
